About Face It
Face It was created with one goal in mind — to offer brides more than just hair and makeup. We believe bridal beauty should feel calm, thoughtful, and supportive from the very first inquiry to the moment you walk down the aisle.
Based inside Beauty on Broadway in Highland, Illinois, Face It specializes in bridal hair and makeup, skin prep, brows, and spray tans, allowing us to approach wedding-day beauty from a full-picture perspective. Our team is made up of certified artists who genuinely care about the experience we provide, not just the final look.
Over the years, we’ve learned that the most beautiful wedding mornings are the ones that feel unrushed, organized, and filled with trust. That’s why we focus so intentionally on timelines, prep, and communication — so you can relax, feel taken care of, and fully enjoy being in the chair.
We are girls’ girls through and through. We advocate for our brides, protect their time, and step in when needed so they don’t have to. Whether that means calming nerves, gently redirecting distractions, or collaborating closely with photographers and planners, our role is to make your morning easier, not more stressful.
We highly recommend clients schedule a trial in advance of their special event. This allows a customized look to be developed for your unique style.

From birthday bashes and girls’ nights to one-on-one sessions, enjoy hands-on lessons from our pro hair and makeup artists. Learn the latest trends—like the perfect smokey eye, flawless beach waves, and makeup basics—tailored to your group’s style and age.
Our Diva Birthday Package even includes a mini eyeshadow palette and take-home tips for lasting memories.

Lead Makeup Artist
Britni Diesen specializes in makeup whether it be your wedding or any other special event in which you must look your best! Through her passion for makeup and art, she has created a space for women to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin by providing an experience that enhances the unique and beautiful features of each individual.
Lead Hair Stylist
Amara Hartnagel has worked with Face It since 2016 and has been working as a cosmetologist since 2012. Motivated by the her love of the beauty industry and her ability to evolve with it, she uses her eye for style to complete a personalized hairstyle just for you!

Makeup Etiquette
Dos & Don'ts for your Special Event
DON'T: Forget to show up with a picture of the look you are going for.
DO: Come with a fresh, clean face and wear a button-down shirt so that you won't smudge any makeup when changing.
DON'T: Pop any pre-event pimples. Also, be sure not to dry out blemishes, as this makes it more difficult to flawlessly cover the area with makeup.
DON'T: Use a moisturizer the day of that contains SPF. In photos, your face will reflect the flash back at the camera.
DO: WELL IN ADVANCE, use a good lip scrub and balm. If you have dry, cracked lips, it is extremely difficult for your artist to apply lip liner and lipstick. More importantly, products will not look as good if your lips aren't in good condition.DON'T: Be self-conscious about your skin. An experienced makeup artist has likely seen it all: cystic acne, psoriasis, melasma, etc. This doesn't phase us and only encourages us to employ some extra techniques.
DO: Remember we're here for you and this is our passion! Our goal is to take some of the stress off of you and to make you feel beautiful!
